Subway??

Hey,

I was just wondering how many of you were planning on taking the Broad st. subway to and from school. I've never had to take it before and I just want to make sure that it's safe...even at night. Also, kinda wanted to know that even if my roommie and I don't go home at the same time, that there is a good chance that someone I know will be on it. Let me know. :)

I plan to take it every day. I don't have any experience on that train line, really, and it's a little disconcerting thinking that I'll have my laptop with me so often... but if some of us can coordinate riding at the same time (at least until we're comfortable) I think that'd be great.

Hey,

I take the Broad St. line to school and it's fine. There are always lots of Temple students on it at the same time. I do not take it at night however. Also, I'm not sure why you guys think you'll be bringing your laptops so often. You only need to bring them for exams.

I plan on taking the Broad Street line most days. I've taken it a lot over the years and while it's not as nice as the EL, I don't know anyone as of yet that has had a problem taking it. But to be safe, it's not a bad idea to travel with a friend anyway. You can also hop the podiatry shuttle if you don't mind walking to 8th and Cherry. It runs from 7am till 11pm every hour. Makes for a nice transportation alternative if you think you might like living around Chinatown.

Riding the subway during the day is completely safe, even if you're by yourself. I wouldn't suggest riding the subway at night by yourself, but with other people it shouldn't be a problem.
