As part of orientation, we are asking the incoming class to read a book, The Working Poor: Invisible in America, by David K. Shipler. Both medical students and faculty feel this is a good book to use for discussions on current US health care issues.
Small group discussions about the book will take place during the orientation week. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas about what this book means to you. The book can be purchased at bookstores or at Amazon.com or checked out of your local library.
