Tech Requirements?

Hey Guys,
I'm having a little trouble with the laptop requirements. Its a little hard to find a laptop that doesn't have Windows Vista. I don't really want the Dell that is recommended. Does anyone know/think If it will really present a big problem? Maybe the USMLE will be more compatible by the time we are ready to take it?

Thanks,
Karimah

If you have (or buy) a copy of windows XP, you can install and run it in addition to Windows Vista (dual boot). I too am having some trouble finding a laptop without Vista pre-installed so it looks like that's what i'll be doing.

I just bought a Fujitsu S7110 from Euclid Computers. It has everything the med school wants (except it has 1GB RAM-which you could easily upgrade if you REALLY had to). It has a lot of extras too and only costs about $200 more. I have experience with Fujitsus and they are really good laptops.
